Four Seasons Hotel

1 2 / 2

This project consists of approximately 63,000 square feet of curtain wall and 7,000 square feet of window wall.

Ventana was hired to supply and install the 9-story curtain wall addition to the top of the already existing 21-story tall glass building located in the heart of the Harbor East neighborhood on Baltimore’s waterfront. The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences has a total of 256 hotel rooms and 83 luxury condominiums on the upper floors. During the construction of the additional upper floors, great care had to be taken to assure the safety of the hotel guests as it was a requirement that the hotel would remain under operation during the construction phase of the nine additional floors.

The project consists of approximately 63,000 square feet of curtain wall and 7,000 square feet of window wall. The window wall is located by the balcony areas and incorporates terrace doors. The glass for this system features a Solarban 60 low-E coating, which has the ability to block 62 percent of the total solar energy while allowing for 70 percent of visible light to pass through the glass. The glass was imported from Tecnoglass in Colombia, South America.
