Ventana has been selected to provide the exterior enclosure systems at the 545 Wyn project. The 10-story office building is located in Wynwood, which is one of Miami’s most happening districts that has become the new arts hub of South Florida. The goal of developer Sterling Bay and architect Gensler is to elevate Miami’s standard office experience, reflect Wynwood’s vibrancy, and engage the neighborhood.

Ventana’s window and curtain wall systems will be provided and the project materials will be sourced both domestically and from overseas. Due to the project being located in Miami Dade County, a ten inch deep systems with 1-5/16 inch thick laminated, insulated glass units will be used to meet the hurricane impact requirements. For increased performance, the glass units will be filled with argon gas. Low-iron glass will be used in all areas to allow for a transparent look. Further, the project will feature high-performance solar control with triple silver low-E coatings and exterior, vertical sunshades. At the building corners, wing walls with structural steel outriggers will be provided. Additional elements included in Ventana’s scope are trellises, glazed-in louvers and metal panels, as well as door within the systems.
