600 5th Street
Ventana contributed its building enclosure expertise to the transformation of 600 Fifth, a 400,000-square-foot office destination in Washington, D.C.
The comprehensive repositioning transformed an existing 1970s concrete structure through the addition of new floors, a redesigned modern façade, and rooftop terraces. Ventana’s work on the building envelope helped give the existing structure a new identity while supporting the project team’s vision for a contemporary workplace in the heart of Washington, D.C.
Developed by Rockefeller Group and Stonebridge, the project was designed by Pickard Chilton with Kendall/Heaton Associates and built by Clark Construction. The collaboration brought together design, construction, and façade expertise to reposition the existing building for its next chapter.
The completed transformation was recognized with an ENR MidAtlantic Award of Merit in the Office/Retail/Mixed-Use category, celebrating the team’s work to bring new life and long-term value to an existing structure.
