The new Zurich North America Headquarters was designed to reflect the company’s global reach and world-class stature.

Ventana supplied and installed 250,000 square feet of custom designed curtain wall for the new Zurich North America Headquarters. The new facility is designed to reflect the company’s global reach and world-class stature. The architectural character of the 735,000-square-foot complex reinforces an image of reliability and success through its bold simplicity in form, a timeless material palette, and its commitment to sustainability. The Zurich North America Headquarters is a LEED Platinum building.

The unitized curtain wall was fabricated in Indianapolis and the glass was supplied by SYP (Shanghai Yaohua Pilkington Glass Group) in China. The glass is acoustically enhanced to reduce the sound levels that can enter the building from the nearby highway. Additionally, the project incorporates an environmentally friendly shading strategy that uses aluminum sunshades, which attach to the outboard of the curtain wall.

Furthermore, Ventana provided a 10,000-square-foot custom, point supported, fully ventilated double wall and a 2,700-square-foot structural glass fin wall at the main entrance. The face glass for the two specialty walls was imported from Carey Glass in Ireland and the 27-foot tall triple laminated glass fins were imported from Agnora in Canada.
